As an Artist and Art Teacher for seventeen years I find all sorts of way to utilize my artistic talents in many creative ways. I am a DIY kind of person ever learning, ever trying to improve my surroundings from decor, home repairs, yard and garden upgrades, to various crafts, sewing, and wood working. My channel is as varied as my interests are. You will even meet all my little farm animals and occasionally get a peek at some of my family. If there is a problem I seek to find a solution. Yes for the one older cat. The younger not sure.
the egg song,I have way more nest boxes than you and less hens ,you need to up your nest box spaced ,it’s uncomfortable for them if there is not enough nest boxes .
Perhaps this video didn't show all but I had up to 6 nesting boxes for only 12 - 20 hens and they still fought over the boxes. They tend to use the same box. At first the boxes seemed to big so we made them smaller. They still want to use the same boxes. It seems like they only use two boxes.
I am with you on that one chickens being easier than children mine now in their 40s so not a problem ,but give me hens over teen boys any day 😂
Ha ha I hear ya. I had five sons and one daughter. There was a period of time when they were all teenagers at once. It is a challenging time for sure. Raising chickens is relaxing. Can't say that about raising children although children can be just as entertaining as chickens at times.

There are so many possibilities to use up or scraps. I am on a mission to use them ALL up.
Many years ago back in the forties, my mother went to Berea College in Kentucky. She used to tell me about learning weaving there. She didn't have a loom, but I remember as a child looking at her weaving books.
Did you know you can make a small loom out of a picture frame I am thinking of doing just that to weave smaller projects.
The timing of this is very interesting. Yesterday I happened upon an ad where a lady was giving away such a loom. I was in the area and could easily have gone to pick it up. I considered it for a while, but decided against it for lack of space for yet another hobby. I will enjoy watching what you create with this.
You should have picked it up. These looms are not cheap. Perhaps one of your granddaughters might be interested in learning to weave some day.

@@DebraCarmona it’s too soft. Use Durabond and the joint will be the strongest part of the wallboard. Spackle will crack too easily.

Yes playing with strips are a great way to help find inspiration for card making. The white strips were piling up so I had to find a way to use them.

what a PRETTY baby! i have a little tuxie rescue, i fed her and her siblings for a year and caught them all and got them adopted except her, so i FINALLY got her about 3 months after, and now she has two cats here so she isnt lonely and outside and a stray anymore :). but she still wont let me hold her, just pet her :) they are so cute. i love the shiny coat. and they always have little mews its seems.
She is one of 8 kitties from a stray cat. I adopted her got her and her sisters and Momma fixed. She and one of her sisters became an inside cat. Momma insists upon being an outside cat. This one is my favorite cat.
